| ONE | I love being back in the states SO very much, but it’s really easy to feel nostalgic about living abroad, especially when you have videos like this just begging you to come back to visit Australia…and okay, maybe Chris Hemsworth is exaggerating and romanticizing Oz a bit, but there really is nothing like Australia – there is just a life about it that we’ve never experienced in any other country.
| TWO | We received our first shipment from Please and Carrots, a quarterly box of educational and age appropriate toys. I cant wait to share my full review with y’all next week! For now, enjoy Sloan checking some of the goodies out…
| THREE | My birthday is tomorrow! Ill be 29 years old. Lord, remember when you were in high school and people significantly older than you just seemed so old and put together?? I feel like I’m not that put together, at least as much as I thought I’d be as I close out my twenties, but either way, Im pumped to celebrate and embrace the new lines on my face as well as a my new role as mom 
My birthday will also hold extra special significance to me from now on because it was on my birthday last year that I took the pregnancy test and found out we were having a baby! Little did we know it would be our sweet Sloan.

| FOUR | Tomorrow is also the 3rd annual Oyster Roast here in Charlotte! Our friend Simpson and her sisters and their husbands began this charity event in 2014 and given that we’ve always been abroad since its inception, we’ve never been able to attend, but this year we get to attend and help host! Im really excited about this event and it benefits 3 great charities: Carolina Family Connections, CART 19 Study at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the Ronald McDonald House. So if you live in the QC and want to attend, check out the site and grab tickets while you still can! It’ll begin at 4PM on Saturday at Sugar Creek Brewing and you can purchase tickets directly on this link.
| FIVE | Super Bowl. Enough said. Even though we can only claim bandwagon status as Panthers fans, we’re so pumped to cheer on the hometown team in this weekend’s Super Bowl! Keep pounding, Panthers – we’re excited! (Side note: my sister lived in Denver for several years, so it’s definitely a house divided. My mom said she’d cheer for the Broncos because “their colors look better on her”. Fair enough.)
